Basic Salary Scale: Kshs.42,970 – Kshs. 59,120 p.m. – (CSG 9)
House Allowance: Ksh. 13,000 – Ksh. 28,000 p.m. (Depending on duty station)
Commuter Allowance: Ksh.6,000.00 p.m.
Leave Allowance: As existing in the Civil Service
Medical Cover: As provided by the government
Terms of Service: Permanent or Local Agreement

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

(i) a Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent and relevant qualification from a
university recognized in Kenya; and

(ii) a graduate membership with the Architectural Association of Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities.

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. The officer will work under the supervision and guidance of an experienced officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level include:-

(i) preparation of sketch/scheme designs and production drawings;
(ii) interpretation of client’s requirements; and
(iii) post contract administration.
