Key Responsibilities

  • Receive customer orders in real time through the warehouse order management system and coordinate immediate picking and dispatch.
  • Supervise warehouse assistants and loaders to ensure customer orders are picked, verified, and loaded accurately.
  • Coordinate the safe loading of tiles, sanitary ware, and other products onto customer and company vehicles.
  • Verify quantities and product specifications before dispatch to ensure order accuracy.
  • Work closely with the showroom sales team to ensure prompt fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Provide professional and courteous support to customers collecting their purchases.
  • Organize warehouse stock to enable quick retrieval and efficient use of storage space.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and workplace safety throughout the warehouse.
  • Receive and inspect incoming stock, ensuring products are stored correctly.
  • Conduct cycle counts and participate in periodic stock takes, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Update stock movements and warehouse transactions in SAP or the warehouse management system.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, safety standards, and the proper use of PPE.
  • Operate a forklift safely where required.
  • Support the Warehouse Supervisor in the day-to-day management of warehouse operations and deputize when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse dispatch, logistics, or warehouse operations within a busy retail, FMCG, hardware, building materials, or hospitality environment.
  • Experience coordinating high-volume customer order fulfilment and dispatch operations.
  • Experience supervising warehouse assistants or loading teams.
  • Forklift operating experience will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or another Warehouse Management System.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on the warehouse floor throughout the day.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure.
